“The young tour guides are fun, quirky and not too serious. Combining with a wine tour/tapas guarantees you will have a fun impression of your time. Not saying the wine improves the reviews, but only added to a fun and informal tour. Mayi, our guide, was great, fun and knowledgeable. You will find out why Montserrat is so important to Catalan history and even the architecture of Barcelona.”

“The tour of Monserrat was wonderful and lunch at the winery was fine but it would have been better to have more time in Monserrat and less time at the winery. Our tour guide Lesly was very good but the wines offered at the winery tasting were low end wines and not very good. Not much to see or do at the winery. Would not recommend the winery portion of the tour. Also if you go in Jan the funicular was closed for servicing at Montserrat which was disappointing.”

“What a beautiful place to visit. Breathtaking on so many levels. Enjoyed our time today with Xavier and Hugo. They told us much of the history and lots of humor as well that was fun. We got to see some amazing scenery and such a beautiful basilica. Bus was comfortable and was all we could ask for. Hiking to the Cross of San Miguel was a great way to earn a even better picture. “It was a great tour. During the drive up to Montserrat, our guide, Alina, shared many stories about Barcelona and Montserrat, which made us even more curious about the places. After we arrived, she guided us through the interior of the monastery as well. Although it was only a half-day tour, it was a very satisfying trip.”

“Great way to see the sights around Barcelona. The tour bus was comfortable, and we felt that we had adequate time at each of the stops. The only challenge we experienced is that Montserrat was set up as the last stop on the tour in the hopes of the best weather throughout, but we arrived at the top of the mountain to a massive thunderstorm, and a power outage limited availability of restrooms and facilities there - nothing the tour operator could have done just bad luck. Highly recommend.”

“The trip was amazing. The instructions on where to meet were very clear. Ewan was an excellent guide. He shared some interesting history on the way to our destintation, while we were there, and on the way back into the city. I will remember what he shared because he didn't overwhelm with information. He was humorous and genuinely pleasant. He was intentional about allowing each person time to ask questions. The driver was great also. He kept us safe and got us there on time and back on time. “The monestary was beautiful and seeing the black Madonna was a moving experience. The girls working the desk at Julia travel were not nice (mean to people on multiple occasions). The bus’ ac was not very good. The funicular ride and monastery were great, travel company was not. I would try and find a driver to take you privately.”
